Harvard vs. Yale Rivalry on Ice 2014 Recap:
The inaugural “Rivalry on Ice” hockey game took place on January 11, 2014 as America’s most famous college rivals faced off at the World's Most Famous Arena – Madison Square Garden. The game was an enormous success as Rangers legends Mark Messier and Mike Richter, along with current Rangers star Dominic Moore, set the stage by dropping the puck with Secretary of State John Kerry as Yale defeated Harvard in front of a capacity crowd. The game was broadcast live on NBC Sports Network, and featured opportunities for fans and alumni to enjoy the weekend including an Alumni Game and hospitality events.
These storied rivals are returning to MSG for the 2nd annual “Rivalry on Ice” game on January 10, 2015. This year’s game also features a unique intermission skating performance with Olympic gold medalist Sarah Hughes (Yale alum) and her Olympian sister Emily Hughes (Harvard alum).
